Astrophysicist Dr Mark Smith delivers a fascinating presentation on the Sun, Solar Physics and Nuclear Fusion — no previous knowledge required!
Planetarium
Star Tours — Find out more about some familiar constellations, the planets, how stars are born and how they die. Our digital planetarium can take you through space for a close-up look at some of nature’s most beautiful sights such as distant galaxies and exploded stars.

- Space Bingo — ‘speed date’ with students from Cardiff University School of Physics and Astronomy to discover amazing facts about the universe, and then use them for a unique session of Bingo!
- Cardiff Astronomical Society sharing their passion for the cosmos
- Space Wales, the trade association for the space sector in Wales, will also be on hand
Tickets include a drink from Coffee Mania, the café next door, and all of the activities listed.
Please note: Space Bingo, Star Tours and the Science Theatre talk are all offered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis on the day.
